RE: Polycoat- Aquaseal 5000/Terra-Shield waterproofing for below grade walls and slabs

5. Products shall not be left exposed for more than 60 days (30 days with release liner and
another 30 days without release liner).

6. If more than 48 hours pass between coats then the surface must re-primed.

7. Over rough surfaces, such as concrete block, the products must be applied evenly in three
30 mil coats.

8. Except as specified herein, application of the system shall be in accordance with the
manufacturer’s instructions. A copy of the instructions shall be available at each job site.

9. The maximum allowable hydrostatic pressure for the Polycoat-Aquaseal® 5000/Terra-
Shield is 27.2 psi.

DISCUSSION

The report is in compliance with the 2020 Los Angeles City Building Code.

The approval is based on tests.

Addressee to whom this Research Report is issued is responsible for providing copies of it,
complete with any attachments indicated, to architects, engineers and builders using items
approved herein in design or construction which must be approved by Department of Building
and Safety Engineers and Inspectors.

This general approval of an equivalent alternate to the Code is only valid where an engineer
and/or inspector of this Department has determined that all conditions of this approval have
been met in the project in which it is to be used.
