GENERAL APPROVAL – Renewal - Polycoat Products Polycoat- Aquaseal 5000 and
Poly-Tuff Systems International Terra-Shield® waterproofing systems for below grade walls.

DETAILS

®
Polycoat- Aquaseal 5000 and Terra-Shield® waterproofing systems are a single component,
liquid applied, bitumen modified, coal tar free, moisture cured polyurethane waterproofing
membrane designed for below grade applications.

The Polycoat- Aquaseal® 5000 and Terra-Shield® waterproofing systems may be applied to
below grade walls, concrete and masonry planters and suspended or elevated concrete slabs in
between slab construction.

The products are applied in two coats for a dry-film thickness of 75 mils.

The approval is subject to the following conditions:

1. The products are not approved for applications over on grade or below grade slabs.

2. The products shall be covered by protection board or protection fabric after installation in
order to avoid continuous UV exposure.

3. The products shall be delivered to the job site in sealed containers properly identified
with the manufacturer’s name and trade name of the products.

4. The products shall not be used to seal joints or penetrations of fire-rated assemblies.

Polycoat- Aquaseal 5000 and Terra-Shield® are approved for waterproofing below
grade walls when required by Section 1805.3 of the 2020 Los Angeles Building Code
