POLYEURO 5901-F
®
Two Component Aromatic Polyurea Protective Coating
Fast Curing
Product Description Technical Data
Polyeuro 5901-F is a fast set, rapid curing, 100% solids,
®
flexible, aromatic, two component spray polyurea that can Mix Ratio by Volume 1A : 1B
be applied to suitably prepared concrete and metal surfaces. Pot Life @ 150ºF (65.5ºC), 50% R.H. 3-5-Seconds
Its extremely fast gel time makes it suitable for applications
down to -20°F (-28.9°F). It may be applied in single or multiple Tack Free Time 20-30 Seconds
applications without appreciable sagging and is relatively Recoat Time 0 - 6 hours
insensitive to moisture and temperature allowing application
in most temperatures. Viscosity at 150-160°F (65.5-71°C) 150 ± 20 cps
Side-A
Side-B 100 ± 20 cps

Typical Uses
• Cold-Storage Facilities Colors
• Fertilizer Plants Clear/Neutral. Custom colors are available upon request. Color
• Food-Processing Plants Packs, when used, must be added to Side-B.
• Industrial and Manufacturing Facilities Due to its aromatic composition, Polyeuro 5901-F will tend to
• Landfill Containment yellow or darken in color and will become flat after expo-sure
• Marine Environments to UV light. Polyeuro 5901-F may be topcoated within twelve
• Mining Operations hours of application with an aliphatic polyurethane/polyurea
• Paper and Pulp Mills coating for a colorfast finish.
• Parking-Garage Decks Coverage
• Power Plants Polyeuro 5901-F may be applied at any rate to achieve desired
• Refineries thickness. Theoretical coverage for 1 mil (0.254 microns)
• Secondary Containment thickness is one gallon per 1600 sqft (3.78 liters per 149 sqm).
• Structural Steel Estimating Formula: (1600 sqft per gal /Dry Mil Thickness) x
• Walkways and Balconies Solids Content = Application Rate per gallon.
• Warehouse Floors Surface Preparation
• Water and Waste Water Treatment In general, coating performance and adhesion are directly
proportional to surface preparation. Most failures in the
performance of surface coatings can be attributed to poor
Packaging surface preparation. Polyurea coatings rely on the structural
strength of the substrate to which they are applied. All sur-
10-gallon kit 5 gallons (18.9 liters) Side-A and 5 faces must be free of dust, dirt, oil, grease, rust, corrosion
gallons (18.9 liters) Side-B and other contaminants. When coating substrates previously
used, it is important to consider the possibility of substrate
100-gallon kit 50 gallons (189 liters) Side-A and 50 absorption, which may affect the adhesion of the coating
gallons (189 liters) Side-B system, regardless of the surface preparation. Polycoat
recognizes the potential for unique substrates from one project
to another. The following information is for general reference,
